A mix

Pretty, young, and all mixed up.
Our stylish and unlikely pairing of the week is
Florals and stripes.
The "right" way to pair?
Stick within one color scheme and add a solid piece (my pick was a cardigan)
for cohesion.
Happy Mixing!

Wear the beach to work day

"Bring your daughter to work" day is fine for the old folk
but we're trying to make it fun for the younger crowd
here at PYfling. When the warm weather returns,
we're hosting a "wear the beach to work" day.
We're looking to Band of Outsiders S/S 2010 line for
office APPROPRIATE styling suggestions.

Speaking of stripes

Breton stripes are all over the place but we need ours to have a little something extra.
Lets DIY some jazz on the stripes of the moment.
We're already owning the American Apparel crew neck (shown on left, courtesy of
http://www.choubelle.wordpress.com/) but we want to transform it to Olivia Palermo's
jazzier version (shown right, courtesy of British vogue)
But how?!

Blue Jean Baby

What to do with your chambray shirt?
Wear open over florals or stripes.
Pair with leopard tights if you're feeling feisty

Hot Damn

Sure sure sure, homegirl's been featured before.
Both on the sidebar and the main-stage, but little queen's got a style
worth discussing again.
Here again for your styling pleasure, is the glamourai

Worried how to style your season old goucho-eque pants or casual plaid top?
No fear dear, our girl will show us the way.

Of particular interest to our budgeted crew is her incorporation of 12by12 and h&m goodies

My Pretty Knees

Yes, Yes, Yes.
You'll probably need some sparkling socks for your fall/winter closet.
Embellished socks for Miu Miu but cheapo embellished tights would be just as good.
Buy @ net-a-porta

Best of

What's left of the best of summer?
For a few more hazy summer days, these looks via style.

Just a btw..still love the hunter boot/jean tore combination rocked here by the Richard sisters
and am I crazy-little-thing for wanting to have that dress as a base for my winter layers?
Get it at Urban Outfitters.

Someone gets it

Boring and Leather.
A look to love. Designer po ruski, Ms. Dasha Zhukova, can certainly work it. Leather (Pleather for you envio lovies) paired with (1)work oxford (2)basic tee and (3)wool day dress.
In our haste to store away our winter goodies let us not forget to honor the reignited versatility of our favorite leather garment.

Surviving the Winter

My Winter Clothes are exhausted
Street Styles suggest a few looks to survive the rest of the cold air season

(1)I can't specify what I love about this look BUT tomorrow I'll remind myself to put on my fur, pull back my hair and O.D. on eyeliner and I won't forget the cocktail ring for a shiny finishing touch.

(2) Layering non matchy prints. The tiny polka dot and tweed combination
is a heavy favorite. I swore off plaid several years ago after coming across
old photos of me in a very unflattering calf length kilt of sorts. Vivienne Westwood's
red label plaid layering is forcing me to reconsider.

(3)Pale Accessories. What a great visual reminder that spring season is just
around the bend. It's a bit early to debut our pretty pastel dresses but a pale accessory here and there seems just right.

(4)White Dress/Black Surround Sound. Winter White? Summer White?
Who cares. I love white winterized by Ms. Betty and Milly's runway

(5)Total BlackOUT. It's been such a long season that my black clothes have faded.
We might have to buy a few new things to pull this look off.

(6)Watch with too much arm candy. Grandpa's gold watch to be exact.

Any other suggestions on how to survive the rest of March?
