Your hair is your glory

She hath more hair than wit, more faults than hairs, and more wealth than faults- Shakespeare
Wit, hair, faults, wealth: Be thankful for them all, in that order.

Beyond the Wayfarer

Gimmie Gimmies never get these Alexander Wang Cat Eye sunglasses. The Fashion Spot says the wayfarer is passe and who am I to disagree? We're moving on up anyway with these golden glam goggles.
See them on a(n) (almost) famous face here or just buy them here .

A dozen roses.

My mother always said, "Its better to be a dozen roses than a rose among thorns". Keep pretty company, it feels nice. Stylist friends, Emily Current and Merritt Elliott (of Current/Elliott) complement each other's beauty and style so well. Let us all be blessed with pretty, well-dressed and (most importantly)UNCONDITIONAL friends.

During that spring to hot heat summer transition, a lady becomes overeager about debuting her warm weather threads. Dying to break out that dark floral sundress? Drown it in black during these final weeks of cool.

Lesson learned from these fabulous bloggers/chictopians/lookbookers above.

Trash Tux

Often referred to as the Texan Tuxedo or, more fondly, the Canadian Tuxedo, the all over denim look seems to be making its way back into the limelight for spring (AND FALL!)
This post from Elle advises on how to make your denim dress-up fail safe:
(1)WASH- pair washes that contrast and complement one another.
(2)SIMPLICITY- avoid patches or acid wash
(3)ACCESSORIZE- add a signature belt, scarf, shoes or jewel to break the look up.

See pictures above for inspiration.

Dance in the desert

California dreaming this week. While Coachella rages on in sunny California, it remains drab and dreary in the north east. Style shots from last year will have to be enough to hold us over. Ms. Crazy thing was previously featured by PYFLING here.

Hello New York

Heading to up up up New York at the end of the week and fighting the urge to pack it heavy.
Polyvore's few choice favorites (and some of mine) will make up my entirely LIGHT load.

Mom's old jaunt?

Lands End Canvas line is not your Momma's clothing catalogue.
While the clothes are no frills reliable basics, the
accessories provided a welcomed splash of youthful color.
I like it here!

Style Source

I find style "advice" in the most unlikely of places. Beyond the obvious (dress manuals and biographies of fashion's most fab), I've found wardrobing wisdom interspersed throughout history books, law journals and even a military field guide. I thought sharing this unlikely wisdom might be a fun new feature for PYFLING.

Lets start with a standard:
Coco Chanel
"A woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future."
"Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman."

Well Coco, If Commes Des Garcons, Play (The unofficial scent of PYfling) were a dress, I believe it would look like this.

How's that for Impeccable?

Take a little peeky poo inside blogger Hanneli Mustaparta's Mulberry bag.
Envious much?
